German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex will supply and install turbines at a 41MW German wind farm project currently being developed in Lower Saxony.
Nordex said in a statement the deal covered supply and installation for six of its N163/6.X turbines to the 41MS Bösel-West wind farm, which is owned by German utility Bioconstruct Gmbh.
The agreement includes a 20-year maintenance contract, Nordex said.
The wind farm will be built in the municipality of Lüchow (Wendland) in autumn 2024. Nordex said three of the six turbines will be built in the territory of the municipality of Wustrow and three near the city of Lüchow.
“These municipalities receive a share of the proceeds of 0.2 cent per kilowatt hour and can use this money as they wish for projects in the municipalities,” Henrik Borgmeyer, managing director of Bioconstruct, said.
“With a planned annual output of 80,000 MWh of electricity, this equates to an annual amount of at least 150,000 Euros for the municipalities,” he claimed.
Nordex expects Bösel-West to be commissioned in summer 2025.
